Do you guys have any discussions in the past about drone fishing?

Not very "chatty" here. You guys act like there's a bad storm out there.

I wanted so badly to ask what kind of bait you'd use for a drone.

But I won't. I won't......................

The drone would be clearly used to get your bait out further and release on tension. It isn't actually fishing for you...

There's been some discussion about it before. It doesn't appear to be legal under Texas fishing regulations.

Why wouldn't it be legal?

If anybody on here has a drone and they need a good solid boat to launch it from I can be on any Lake in the Metroplex in 45 minutes and I would love to go sight fishing with a drone you spot the bass and I'll cast write to them I would actually be willing to pay somebody to bring one drone to look for fishing another drone to videotape the whole thing

I saw a video of a guy trolling a lure, and catching some bass, with a UAV.

And as a tip when using remote control vehicles for fishing or whatever you're doing there's no real regulations on it yet so everything is negotiable I hate when people say oh you can fly your drone here or whatever I looked it up and they say you can fly the Drone in a public place

Another good tip would be that if you can get your bait to a spot with the Drone that was unaccessible by boat it would be safer the only major hiccup in the hole operation would be if you crashed the Drone in the water you're going to have to read a really good RC pilot to drag some lines or even to operate a camera overwater there's drafts and one mistake and it's over

When I'm at a computer, I'll link the relevant language from TPWD. Have a hard time doing such from my phone.

*edit* Here ya go ...

https://tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdo...evices-for-fish

The key phrase I'm looking at is at the top of the page: "These devices, subject to restrictions listed, may be used to take fish and other aquatic life in Texas public waters. Methods and devices not listed here are not legal for use in Texas."

I doubt that using a drone to spot fish, or to carry a bait out and drop it, would be a problem, because those are not 'methods of taking fish'. But if you used a drone to hook and land a fish, it might be illegal. Your best bet is to contact TPWD and ask them.

That's where it's at Uncle Zeke is the site fishing if you can use that drone and go out say 2000 ft either direction of the boat you will really see some fish I promise if you're pretty good with the computer you need to learn how to fly a drone and come on my boat and we'll go find some swordfish in the daytime

My purpose is to drop bait and I have every intention of doing it sooner than later
