Consuming leftover shrimp after a day of fishing - 07/26/17 09:53 PM
Do people ever take the leftover shrimp home after a day of fishing and cook them?
Assuming they are either still alive or fresh,.................................

Yep...I do every trip. That is if I have any left over. If the die in the live well and are of any size, On ice they go.
Eat up...

The guy at the bait shop said the pink ones are the best flavor
, but the white ones get larger , I couldn't really see
Any reason not to eat them

Let's see here ...
Shrimp Fettuccine and some fresh trout filets on the side - yeah, I am game for that.
Been there .. done that.

I would recommend only eating the live ones though. The dead ones in the bucket would have been bacterial contaminated far too long.

Well, here's a tip.
There is a difference between 'recently alive' shrimp and dead shrimp.
When I am using live shrimp in a boat, I just toss the larger 'recently alive' shrimp that didn't catch a fish in a small container that has ice in it.
Then take'em home with your fish and make some shrimp fettuccini or grilled shrimp, etc. to go with those trout or redfish filets.
