a Texas Slam is always nice...... - 05/08/16 05:09 PM
hit the surf well before sunrise and the wind came up 2 hours earlier than weatherunderground predicted, threw a top water about 20 casts into the dawn glow and nothing, so surface activity, no sign of bait, but great water color. i always hit the Pass area because Plan B into the bay is always an easy back up. ended up with a keeper red, 20" speck, and two keeper flounders. plus 4 croaker too big to rebait and too small for most to keep but dayum those tiny filets are the best.....ever......
