End of North Jetty. Cut mullet or live mullet. Fish on bottom. 20lb test with 30lb leader, 5/0 hook. Should catch some reds and good chance of catching a shark. Good luck!!!

Thank you Sir. Deeply appreciated. North jetty is that heading out where the barges & the cruise ships leave from on the left ?

The north jetty is just to the right of middle, the Selma is off Pelican Island. The cruise ships are back in the Galveston Channel. The barges are in the Intracoastal Waterway, at the top of Pelican Island.

You may also fish off the Dike (same method) for large black drum.

Use only enough weight to keep the bait in the area you target.
1 oz on a slow tide. Up to 4 oz on a fast tide...although reds will feel it and drop it if you're not quick on the draw.

No tide....dont fish. Go have lunch instead.

Try some Berkley Gulp! shrimp, too.
