In The Morning

Went to SPI last month, got a condo on the bay side. My wife had some commitments to tend to and had to fly down a couple of days later. So, I got a whole day of fishing to myself. Here is how my morning went.

Great vid. I enjoy fly rodding at SPI. Most of mine is under the condo pier lights at night for snook and trout.

Just basic clousers. I like white, white/chartreuse, and just plain chartreuse. You gotta deal with the ladyfish, but I enjoy the heck out of them on my 7 weight rod.

I catch Ladyfish early in the morning ( before its light enough to sight fish) on poppers in the ship channel on a seven weight. Just like fighting baby tarpon. I love it. Also catch a lot of trout that way. I've never caught a snook that way though...
