Bass boat for bay fishing

Bass boat for bay fishing - 05/20/15 01:57 AM

I have a 175 tracker bass boat with a galva shield trailer. When I bought it they told me it was salt water capable. Will bass boats handle the bays or should I not even consider it. Thanks for the info

Look at a saltwater boat. Carpet? Nope
Foot pedal troll motor? Sorry
Electrical rigged with unsealed butt connectors? Not for long.
They were either clueless or less than straight to tell you that.

If it has carpet or any thing that's not stainless steel or plastic it's gonna get nasty and/or ruin your boat. Please don't try to use a freshwater boat in salt.

hire a guide, don't screw up your boat. there is no such thing as getting salt out of / off of a boat once you launch it. you would probably get beat to death in that little tracker too
