Best fishing places around Angleton Texas - 04/28/15 07:24 AM

Looks like were visiting some family and I'm bring the small AL boat it's 17feet with 50HP, were are some good back water areas to catch reds and trout. Don't mind driving a hour or so if this is where we need to be. I'll have 7 days to fish so any help would be great.

Thanks

chocolate bayou and bay is a great fishery and that boat will work good there. there's a good launch/ramp under the hwy 2004 bridge. Lute's Marina is upstream from there and they have a ramp and bait. little tricky finding Lute's by road, try the web and google maps.

Chocolate is good, and is quite fresh right now. There is also a lot of reefs in choc and while your boat can withstand bumping a few, just be careful. Lower west bay would be another option and there have been some schools of trout in that area behind the pass. The reefs in Christmas closest to colds pass would also be an option and a little smaller water. There is a ramp off BlueWater hwy on the most eastern canal.

have fun.
