Just wanted to give a big Thumbs up to both Moritz Chevrolet and also Moritz Dodge and Jeep. To make a short story long my mother in law was in the market for a new car. She had already picked out a couple of different dealerships before I even knew she was looking for a car. She told me that she had found the car she wanted in Arlington at HOLT DODGE JEEP at I-20 and Collins. So I went with her on Monday to assist her in buying the car. Well after going back and forth over numbers, the sales manager comes to us and tells us we have a deal. So he walks off and I tell our salesman that I would like something in front of me to show the price of the car including TTL and that my mother in law would write a check for the car. This is where everything goes to hell in a hand basket very quick.
After about 15 minutes the sales manager comes back out and says I never agreed to the price. He is also raising his voice to me and I start to argue with him. He tells me you are crazy if you think I said that and there is no way I can do that price. After telling him he was full of BS, I told my mother in law lets leave. He tells me he has the best price in town and that he will honor the price until closing. I tell him there is no way in hell we are buying a car here. Again this is Holt Jeep in Arlington at I-20 & Collins.
So I decide to go by and talk to Monte at Moritz. I never knew Monte until I bought his lightly used boat last year. smile Monte Calls up the sales manager on the Jeep side on speaker phone and explains the situation to him. He says send them over and we will take care of them. We then go over to the Jeep side to look as she was set on buying a Jeep. As soon as we got to the Jeep side we were greeted by Dick Titterington( Sales Manager on Jeep side.) So within about 45 minutes, we had a deal worked and Moritz didn't even have it in stock. They told us they could get it the next day in the interior and exterior color that she wanted. She picked up her new car yesterday and is tickled to death. Moritz has earned a couple new customers for life. Thanks to Monte and Moritz Staff for taking a terrible experience at one dealership and turning into a great experience at another!! If you are on the fence, give Moritz your first shot. They will earn your business.
