I did that several years ago and had a ball. Our scallops were much smaller. Same area as where this was shot.

Next time go on Low tide. You may also try using a poly basket with the holes and wrap a Noodle around the top then use electrical ties to fasten. I clammed and harvested these near Swansboro and TopSail Island in N.Carolina . It's a lot of work but fun. I really miss it.This was in the mid 80's.
