Old Alton Bridge/Hickory Creek in Denton - 07/25/17 05:16 PM

Has anyone ever fishing this area before? I've been going down there about once every two weeks to get a lay of the land. There is massive movement in the water during midday. I'm planning on going down there next weekend in the morning to go fishing, but could you some advice as to what to fish with in the creeks that feed into lake Lewisville. I've been using a midwater lure there, but it hasn't seemed to work.

Any suggestions are welcomed. I'm not fishing for anything in particular, just wanting to catch some fish. fish

I wouldn't go there til fall is in. You may catch a few bass in the pockets or lay downs with senkos but I wouldn't put my money on it too much. If you want to just catch fish, you can go to garza ln. And fish along the rip rap or fish the tip of of it (if you find any room) on lake lewisville.

Old Alton is good during the spring but summertime is a bust. Don't waste your time.
