Denton Marshall creek - 01/07/17 01:39 PM
Anyone know how to hike to the hole where Denton and Marshall meet? Any other suggestions for up there?

I don't think the 2 creeks ever meet. Denton Creek runs to Justin and Marshall Creek ends at a little lake off 114 in Trophy Club. You may be thinking of what's called Henrietta Hole. Denton Creek meets another creek there and it has a deep hole. The trail starts where the old parking area was on the west side of 377 closest to Roanoke. It's right next to the railroad tracks. Don't think you can park there anymore. Long hike with a stringer of sandies. Good place to try next month. Good luck and hope this helps some.

you can Hike down Cleveland Gibbs (Walk only) down the old road (Next to the Paint ball and Trailer park), then head north at the Turn, and just on the right you can head off into the woods, and find the hole. Watch out for Large Hogs, there are many around there. it is a long walk no matter where you start. cant part on 377 any more.. it was a very long walk as well...

I haven't found any keeper crappie in any Denton creeks so far this year but good luck!
I think it might be a couple more weeks before they show up in numbers.

There are crappie in there but they would be easier to find and catch from a boat. Sandies should start showing up in a month or so
