Any Noodlers wanna trade some spots or possibly join in some fun on Hubbard/Lavon? Just got into it a couple months ago, and am curious where others are going out. Strictly catch and release. Been working the banks and rip rap all over Hubbard, and done alright. Nothing huge yet.

Is it legal in Texas, if it's a redundant question sorry

My "grab hand" I wear a glove on, so I don't get too torn up. I get picked on for the glove, but I don't wear it to keep from getting torn up, I wear it in case something bite my finger off. Lol then at least it'll still hopefully be in the glove.

Lol. I am way too big a chicken to ever give it a shot for exactly that reason. Find a cottonmouth or a big ole snapper in one of those holes.

How often do you run into snakes and big snappers? I feel like I'm a manly man, and the mere thought of noodling makes my man parts crawl up inside to my stomach. You got a lot of sand to do that man.

My grandfathers used to do it with no accidents . Have an Okie friend who got bit by a moccasin once .

I prefer channel cats . wink

I've yet to run into a snake or turtle in a hole. They're going to be in the pockets that have air pockets trapped in them. Most of the holes we've been fishing are in 4-6' of water, so they're all completely submerged. Found a few gar, but luckily, they don't really seem to care. They just scare the hell out of you when they shoot out from a hole. Only thing I've been hit by, other than a fish, is a few crawdads latching onto a toe or finger.
