Fished it early yesterday morning. Caught one small bass on Texas rig worm. Also caught several sunfish on ultralight. It is getting alot of pressure right now.

I fished the target pond last week. Got one bass on a wacky rigged senko and saw tons of perch swimming around but didn't have any tackle small enough for em. I'll definitely take the panfish kit back next time I go

Just got back from the Target pond with no luck. Went yesterday and same story. It's been really windy, so not sure if that has part in it.

Nathan, it was nice meeting you yesterday.

Leo where are you fishing on it? Iv had the best luck on the dam behind the hotel or whatever it is. There used to be a ladder or something to climb down onto it. Not sure now?

Nice to meet you too buddy! Fishing is a little tougher out there in the wind. Try throwing a lipless crank or one of those small storm swimbaits when its windy. When its calm I like weightless soft plastics out there. Dropshot can be deadly too but that may be a bit above your experience level right now. Keep at it though you'll find em eventually!

Hi was wanting to try and get some panfish with the fiancee this weekend. I don't want to commit to buying a license yet, so I was hoping that I was reading the regulations correctly that we could fish in a state park.

We are thinking Mineral Wells or Joe Pool at the state park. Thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Mineral Wells is a great crappie lake and has huge flathead catfish, but it is a real loser for sunfish. I lived over that way for 26 years and fished every corner for sunfish without catching anything over 6 inches long.

Lake Weatherford has good sunfish, but you will need a license.

Joe Pool is a different story. I regularly catch bluegill in the 8 inch range, and sometimes larger. The state park has limited access to the deep water, but if you fish the weed bed edges early in the day you should be fine.

The state park also has a sunfish pond.

Went out to city lake around lunch time. Crazy windy, but I was able to catch 3 small ones.

Seems like CityLake is only really accessible on the west side and tons of nasty moss along the entire bank. I only spent a little bit of time tying to access the east side, but didn't look promising at all. I can see how this place would be some tough fishing.

I think I know how to access the east side, I just haven't tried it yet. I need to go back and fish some more.

Last time I was there it was like in June and the pond had a ton of grass. Couldn't throw anything in there without pulling a good chunk of the green stuff.
