Ah, Well, OK

Deep nighting last night in search of crappie in the area of the Penthouse. White/metal flake, hollow body tube jig, UL gear, 1/16th oz jig head. One tremendous hit in 30 minutes, and it turned out to be this!:

it was a helluva fight on 6 lb test and a 5 ft UL rod. Thank goodness i had my landing net wiith me finally.

The Penthouse continues to refuse me access to its mega slab crappie, but yet allows me to hook and land stuff like this!:



1/32nd oz hollow body crappie tube jig, red/charteuse, 6 lb test. Thank goodness I didn't forget my net this time. Fishbonz of the TFF took the pic. He had one about the same size jump and spit his jig, otherwise it might have been a doubleheader!

This one hit right before midnight Monday night.

Well, much later in the spring, the deep night fair to middlin' size bass bite continues to be good. The tiny 132nd oz jigs are still producing well, and now the Post Spawners are feeding, trying to make up any weight loss during the spawn.








All caught between 10:30 pm and midnight, on 1/32nd oz hollow body tube jigs, and 6 lb. test on UL rods and reel.

Nice Rudy! I take it the crappie have left?

The spots i fish, the crappie sorta disappeared around late Jan/early feb . Just a smattering of them when they should have been there. Have no idea what happened to them.
