Went to Valley Ridge Park. Was cloudy, felt good. Water was stained badly. No bites no signs of life. I fish a buzz bait and nothing. I spent about an hour walking around and nothing. There was a fountain shooting water out so I walked next to it. Cast my buzz bait and tons of tiny fish jump out of the water. I quickly change lures to my top water Hula Popper and got bite after bite. Lake is supposedly stocked all the time. If I had to guess it is loaded with catfish.
Then I went to Joe Pool Oasis Marina and fished the rocks next to where the boat ramp is and caught these 2 before I was told "Your not allowed to fish there. I work at the marina. This is your warning." Even though there are no signs anywhere. I believe a leisure boater went and complained when he saw us fishing so close to ramp. I understand if I am fishing on the ramp but I'm standing on the rocks next to it. We all have our designated areas and I was using mine at the time! Anyways here are my two fish.
