Nice day on the trinity

Caught four in about a half hour. The first was the best.

First cast, I notice a fish swim right in front of me (turned out to be a gar) and I start burning my spinnerbait back towards this little boat launch I was standing on to see if I could get this fish to bite before I realized it was a gar. About six feet in front of me, right before it was getting near where the gar was, it got absolutely hammered. I thought it was another gar that hit it and then I realized it was a big bass. Almost pulled my rod out of my hand and into the river.

The rest were caught burning it quickly. Two hit right in front of me and two hit quite a ways away. All of them fought harder than any fish this year. The one above had a bloody tail. Here are the rest:

Nice fish! We need to hook up and go fish the river together soon. I was thinking of going out after work and squeezing in some fishing before the rain.

nice fish. any help on spots near Benbrook or southwest fort worth that are good to take my mom fishing. She can not do a lot of hiking but would love to catch some. I was thinking baout the rocks of benbrook at longhorn but that has a steep road down to it that you have to walk.

Good looking fish! I've caught some nice ones in the Trinity right smack in down town Fort Worth! It's definitely an overlooked fishery.

Its ok I never got a chance to go anyways. I may try and sneak out sometime this week after work or maybe Saturday if I get a chance. Ill try and let you know before hand.
