The North Toledo Bend Rendezvous - a great tying event - Oct 30 - Nov. 1 - 10/21/15 06:29 PM

The Texas Council, along with the Gulf Coast Council of the IFFF, annually co-sponsors the "North Toledo Bend Rendezvous". This year it will be held the 30th through the morning of the Nov.1st at North Toledo Bend State Park near Zwolle, LA.

The 2013 Rendezvous was the 25th anniversary (since 1989) of this gathering of fly tyers representing fly fishing clubs from Texas and Louisiana, with a few others from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and beyond. With no planned activities, but plenty of fly tying, food, fly casting instruction and fly fishing, and with only a minimal fee to cover lodging and meals, the North Toledo Bend Rendezvous remains one of the top (and cheapest to attend!) tying events held each year in the U.S.A.

If you have never attended the North Toledo Bend Rendezvous or haven't been in a while, you are hereby invited to attend... Hey, we haven't gathered on the shores of Toledo Bend and thrown this party for 27 years for nothing!!!

We have a great time, and it is your chance to sit down and tie flies with some of the very best tyers in the Deep South, and especially from TEXAS! This is the very best event to enable your to improve your tying skills in this region. Come and tie with a bunch of the best that are gathered to help you to learn...

No matter if you are beginner to tying, or a master of this craft, you will learn a lot (or at least have fun tying with your friends &/or teaching others), and you will have fun!

Just got back from Rendezvous... Another great time was had by all.

If you weren't there you missed a great time, great food, great tying, and great camaraderie with many of the regions best tyers... representing 12 IFFF clubs in Texas and Louisiana...

Tyers who regularly tie at regional, national and international tying shows tying for each others, trading materials and and teaching techniques!

We'll meet for the 28th year on the first weekend in Nov. 2016! If you tie, you should plan on joining us...
