Good ties again Heath. You did a good job on the combos. Just looking and comparing the two the one on the left would seem bigger than the one on the left, actually they are close to the same weight. Heath on those jigheads I delibreately changed the hook position to fish timber, this jig will have a little more vertical than horizonital also I used a chartruse Eagle claw Light wire hook although it is a size smaller it has a bigger bite at the barb for taking fish out of the thick stuff.

One on the left bigger than the one on the left? Did you mean than the one on the right?
The hooks are different styles, one is a "J" style and the other is a "Sickle" style. I prefer "Sickle" style, which for me I believe acts similar to a circle hook and gets a better hookset. And I believe they come out of brush and around timber much better. The lighter wire also I think provides a sharper hook that stays sharp longer.

Good observation on the grammar Gloria. Sickle seem to be the preferred hook these days in reality a sickle or j style you are still dealing with a radius of 180 so I was just talking about the bite of the hook after the hookset in holding fish that shake like heall trying to get loose, no big deal. Hey RTL have you been to NM lately?
