FLW Tour By the Numbers 2017 - 10/12/17 10:25 PM
I appreciate all the positive feedback on my writings I get on here..... my thoughts on the tour, and the economics of fishing nationally.
FLW Tour By the Numbers Blog
Well written, it funny I had a guy at work ask me today when I was going pro. I laughed at him for one I am no where near that level to compete on tour, and it makes no sense to me either to even try. I make good money and work and am guaranteed a paycheck every 2 weeks. It's just to hard to walk away from that. I would have to finish top 3 in points for the season to feel like I accomplished something as far as what I earned and there are way to many guys far better than I am fishing to do that. I always wonder how alot of the touring pros can actually afford to fish with no more money than they make.

For me, the travel it's self would be a grind I would not enjoy.

Nice write up. So, how do most guys do it? Is their enough time to guide or have another flexible schedule job?

A large majority that fish it already had money. You don’t fish to get rich. It is something I’d recommend you do. It’s not about the money, but about the experience.

Good write up. Sad to think of having committed to a season and knowing it will be in the red if you make it to end of season. And outside of the top 10, its anybodys on any given day.
