New Swim Bait Hook

New Swim Bait Hook - 09/18/15 09:48 PM

Thought I would give everybody a little sneak preview of the New Screw Lock Shimmer Swimmer. (Not sure on the name right now but for now that is what I am calling it) Got a little testing to do today and tomorrow for the blades I am going to put on each hook. Believe what I have on there now will work and is what I want but would like to test these good before releasing them. I have done some testing and these things swim good just like the original Shimmer Swimmer. From what testing I have done on these and the original, believe what I have in my mind will work but just want to be sure. Also have to work on the pricing for each of these before I can release.

These are done on Mustad Hooks and is a little lighter wire than the Gama we use on the Shimmer Swimmer. Should make for a little easier hook penetration but should still be plenty stout enough for any Bass you are going to catch on them. The Screw Lock should solve the problem for those that did not want to re-tie when putting another swim bait on. The one on the far left is a 4/0 hook. For now I am stocking those in 3/16 oz, 1/4 oz and 3/8 oz. I do have a 1/2 oz version of this available but for now I am not stocking. If the demand is there then I will and will just have to see how all that plays out. The middle one is a 6/0 hook and I am stocking that one in 3/16 oz, 1/4 oz, 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz. The one on the far right is a 8/0 hook and am also stocking that one in sizes 3/16 oz, 1/4 oz, 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz.

I am hoping to get all my testing done and the pricing set so that I can release these by Sunday afternoon or evening. By then I also hope to have these loaded on my web site and will make another post once i do.

Thanks

I'm interested! I've been making my own for the last couple of years. I really like this concept.

May I make one suggestion? Offer all the hook sizes weightless too. These work great weightless with a swimming fluke in shallow water. Just a thought.

If you need some non-biased field testing send me a pack and I'll test them for you and give you some feedback. PM me if you're interested.

Keep us updated on this please.

I just got done uploading these on my web site. I have all the pricing set about 15 % below what this will be set at and did this as an introductary thing. Will leave it like that for around 2 weeks.

These things swim great and believe everybody is going to like a lot. The 4/0 and 6/0 will come with your choice of either a gold or nickel willow blade. The 8/0 will come with your choice of a # 4. Below are some examples of these rigged along with a link to them on my web site. If there is anything that you need or that I can help with. Then please feel free to give me a shout. Lasty, I am taking Dealer Inquiries on these along with a few other items. Hope to have that area finished on my web site in the next couple weeks. If you are interested in these or some of the other things that I am in the process of getting ready for this type stuff. Then please feel free to shout at me about that also.

Thanks

3.5" Swim Bait on a 4/0 Hook.

4.75" Swim Bait on a 6/0 Hook

These baits are very well made and flat out catch some fish! Most of these type baits the spinners are not attached very well and come off frequently but since I bought the original shimmer swimmer about 8 months ago not one single issue with this set up! I'm glad you added the screw lock on these baits. I just placed an order on your website! Thanks

Thanks and appreciate the kind words. Glad you are liking and even more so that you are catching some fish on them. Getting a lot of good feed back right now on all 3 of the New Swim Bait set ups we are offering now. The sales on this New Shimmer Swimmer with the Screw Lock have been just completly crazy sense releasing them. Hope to start working on getting some of this into some stores down in Texas later this Fall and Winter.

Thanks Again for the kind words and the order. I just printed the paper work for it and should get it coming your way some the time the first of next week.

Thanks again for all the interest and orders on these. Sales have been way better than I ever expected. Price on these will be going up just a little at the end of this week. So take advantage of this low introductary price before it goes up a little. Thanks

Last bump for this post. Thanks to everybody for all the interest and the orders on these. Knew these would be a big hit but never quite expected all the orders I have received sense releasing these. Price on these will be going up just a little bit some time tomorrow or Saturday. If you are wanting to try or order any, now would be a pretty good time to save a couple $$$$$.

Thanks and Good Luck
