Referrals - 01/25/18 01:41 PM

Whenever I do business with someone, either a purchase or service work, and they treat me well with good service and prices I like refer them to others who made need their services or products. First up is Rockwall Marine. They not only worked on my Skeeter but once when I was servicing my SHO I had a problem changing a fuel filter that was inside a glass bowl. Takes a special wrench that I didn't have. I took the whole bowl up to them and free of charge they removed the filter for me. Very rarely will that happen in the business world. Next is BBG Marine. I was wanting a Ultrex and after weeks of looking I decided to go for it. Called Brian at BBG and he had the best price by far with free shipping and no sales tax. Saved about $400 and the service was impeccable. One caution, there is an online company called Minnkota Factory Outlet. Minnkota doea not have a factory outlet. This a India based outfit and if you called their 800 number you get to speak to one of them who pressures you to buy right then. Reviews are terrible. Last but not least is V's Boat Carpeting in Sanger. Did a great job of carpeting and buffing my Skeeter and a 3 day turn around and a fair price. Didn't mean to be so long but many times people on here are asking for recommendations and here are 3 good ones. thumb

I buy a lot of stuff from Factory Outlet Store, including my Ultrex almost a year ago. They are hard to beat price-wise and keep you abreast of any backorder issues.

A good referral list is a great idea. Getting the low-down on the Google reviews is a necessary part of the process these days.
