Richland Chambers Lake May fishing report

Richland Chambers Lake May fishing report - 04/26/17 09:30 AM

Sandbass or white bass as some folks call them seemed to have had a really good spawn.
We're now catching fish that have finished spawning and they look to be in pretty good shape.

This year it would be hard to count the number of undersized hybrid striper we have caught in the thousands probably all released to grow up to be a trophy fish someday!

Actually by this fall most of them will be legal size.

The Blue cat are still shallow but not as many nor are they as big as they were a week or two back.
They move in and out but we will be catching them in deeper water soon.

Our bigger hybrid striper will be showing up more the warmer the water gets and when the lake thermoclines we will find them off the deeper points sort of separated from the sandbass.
Call to book your trip today.

Thanks for sharing. Do you have any recent updates? Also, do you have a consistent spot for catching shad?
