Lewisville 4-5

Lewisville 4-5 - 04/05/17 04:15 PM

Took my brother for a run this morning for his 45th b-day. Cold front had me worried but my cowdog found em feeding heavy. It was 49 when we got on the water and wind was a blowin! We anchored up in 2 ft of water and hammered em until the sun came out. Caught some bigguns which made my brothers day. Lost count of small ones. Wind picked up at 10 so we came on in. All fished released to fight another day.

Good looking fish! Congrats! Did you get the electronics dialed in? I'm installing my Gen 2 this weekend. Cant wait to get on the water! Congrats again

Good day! Props!

Where are you finding shad? I got about a dozen off a boat ramp last time I went. That seems to be the spot.

. Got it dialed in pretty good Curtis! took several trips to fine tune it. Make sure you watch a video on leveling your transducer, it will make a huge difference on picture quality. Also went into the sonar settings and filtered out the engine noise and now it's clear as a bell.
You are going to love it when you get it dialed in. Image quality is phenomenal and you can actually see fins on fish return shadows. One of the biggest improvements I've noticed with the chirp is target separation for cats that are laying on the bottom. Chirp can see those fish on the bottom and separate them from mud. Won't tell you if they are hungry though!

Great info! I watched the vid last night then couldn't sleep due to the Azul swimming round in my head. Glad you are dialed in! Keep posting those beautiful fish! Cudo's on the CPR!

Did you say 2 ft of water or was that a typo?

. Got ours off the tires at marina, mostly threads but that's what the fish wanted anyway.

2 feet...we threw right up on shore where the water was churned up and the birds were fishin the threads.

Cool, sounds like maybe the shad spawn might be underway if they were up that shallow.
