Bankfishing Meet n greet and optional small $ tournament - The 28th is the break between Playoffs and SuperBowl........

- $20 per man - 2 pots: Big Fish Pot(Catfish) and 3 fish stringer Pot (Catfish 1-2- or 3 fish, Big Fish will count as part of stringer and potentially could Win both Pots)) $10 per - If we have 10 or less paid participants it'll be winner take all per pot -- if we have 11 or more each pot will pay 1st/2nd...OakGrove Park (from sandbass pt/Scotts landing all way around to boat to Catfish Lane) 6 Rod Limit.....Must have valid fishing license and follow TPWD rules...All fish must be caught/landed from the bank

Individual entrants not team or partner. Kids can partner with parent or gaurdian no charge.....if anyone thinks this gives an unfair advantage they have obviously never taken kids fishin....anyone old enough to have fishing license (17 n up) must pay.....

All fish to be weighed by me- with atleast one witness- scale may be lil off but if all fish are weighed on same scale it's fair- if u catch a biggun 2 hrs in bring it to me to be weighed and recorded then u can release it -- it will count as part of your stringer also....this is one of the reasons I limit it to Oak Grove Park area (it has several miles of shoreline) the other is this is as much of a meet n greet as anything bring your grills/coolers (alcohol not permitted in park per Grapevine) and meet fellow TFF members and grill, socialize and fish......

I will try to be at SandBass Point Parking Lot by 7:30 am for participants to sign in/pay.

Open to anyone not just TFFr's so spread the Word.......If anyone has a Shad Honey Hole please catch extra and share.........

I am surprised you want to fish off the bank after going do many years without a boat.

Just might have to fish it. Never had any luck on that lake

No sir I've been out there couple times .i have pro angler 10 foot .i have fished with that guy with the white rods.i just got a 5 pounder so no skunk

I might be, was out there yesterday right after the storm and caught 2 channel cats 1-2 lb and then I realized my worms from the day before were empty handed! Double checking next time so I won't have to call it a day early, does anyone know if you can fish there overnight ? Website says no am ping but does that count for the lake as well or just the park area (baseball fields pond playground etc?

Usually cops will let you if you are fishing and not drinking etc....

Was out on GV yesterday scouting and running my electronics and didn't see anything off the sandy point/boat ramp or around the break water tires even though the place was covered in birds. Went all the way up to the marina office between the bank and slips and didn't find anything where the kittys usually hang out. Thought for sure there would be lots of fish with all them pooping birds around there. Over off the rocks on west side of Katie's Woods there were a few big fish down around 35-40 ft bout 50yds off the shore. Saw 2 guys fishing and cast netting off the rocky point at Katies.

Yup I'm not scared to spend a Entire day next to the Water with 6 Rods out, grilling Brats, waiting on a Biggun.....
Even if I Skunk it's better than a Work Day.!.

over the last week and a half I have had no luck at oak grove and rockledge from the bank,,,using different baits including cherry koolaid wieners,,worms,,bass pro cut shad and homemade punch bait,,,this has energized me to get boat ready lol,,,got motor started this afternoon
