What Do You Do With Them?

What Do You Do With Them? - 11/11/16 03:12 AM

I'm an ole' Saltwater fisherman myself. I see a lot of folks on this site are mainly freshwater anglers. The only thing I know about freshwater is..I drink it and take a bath in it !!
I went to see a weigh-in at West Lake Tawakoni about 4 years ago in Feb. or March, I forget. It was that Cabela's King Kat event. I saw some hefty cats brought in. I'm sure these were released later. But, you guys and gals that catch the BIG Cats, what do you do with yours? I know with these big Bull Reds etc., most folks don't keep them bc the smaller slot Reds are better for the table. Tell me about your catches?

Max is 20lb for Blues, and I say Max, 15lb or less comes home, unless im just playing around... Big Blues not only are they the Producers, but they are not great table fare... Lots of Fat and Red meat. But Flatheads.... well that is another subject.

When we keep kitties, we prefer the 2 to 4 pounders. Easier to clean. Anything 10 pounds or larger is always released and usually anything over 5 pounds is released.:)
