Mon-Tuesday on Tawakoni - 07/13/16 12:19 PM
Had trips on Tawakoni Monday and Tuesday during Hurricane winds. Fished in Waco bay. All we could do was just stay to the south bank and fish where the we could. Its not worth taking a chance with giant waves just to get a few fish. So we stayed in the south coves and it paid off pretty good. Most box fish were no deeper than 25'. But the two big fish were at 30'. Thermocline looked to be around 25'. Anyway, we released the two big ones and cleaned 40 box fish.
This was first time on Tawakoni for Dan and his children Rachael and Jacob. Dan and Rachael got their PB blues with a 30 and a 21 pounder.
I think Tawakoni has more places to get out of the wind than Ray Roberts.
