Elm fork trinity river by lewisville lake - 05/11/16 11:38 PM
I'm looking in to checking it out Saturday and was wondering how the catfishing is there. From what I've seen driving by it it looks like there's some nice cover. Not much on the Internet. I had it recommended to me on a previous topic. Thanks!

They are still letting water out of lewisville so it is running pretty hard through there and water is high. Not sure about the fishing.

Very difficult catfishing right now with high release, area is flooded.

As high as the water has been for months now the catfish will be stacked up in there all summer.
It's gonna be easy pickins once they shut the flow off. Some of the best river bank fishing ever.
I filled many a basket there off of hwy 121 back in the 70's. Shad Gizzards was my best bait.

It was flowing pretty good this evening when I drove over the bridge on 380
We catch em up in there spring through summer but by boat...if the water is flowing, the cats are there
