Drove around the Oak Grive park area ramps yesterday and they were all closed. Still looked majorly flooded.

I assume they are talking about the road. It is still months away from opening.

Re: Grapevine?? - 02/15/16 08:25 PM

At the present rate of fall Grapevine will be at 544ft first week of March. At that level Meadowmere, High water ramp Katie Woods and Sand Bass Point can be opened. Also annual ramp passes will be good To April first. New passes will be good for 1 year from purchase date, so no more wasted time because you bought your pass after Jan. 1st. If they increase outflow the timeline can be reduced.

Re: Grapevine?? - 02/15/16 08:26 PM

At 538ft all ramps can be opened.

***2016 Annual Pass Changes***

The City of Grapevine will be changing the Lake Parks Annual Pass format from the previous calendar year system to a year-to-date system beginning April 1, 2016. New Annual Passes will be valid through the end of the month of purchase the following year.

Due to Boat Ramp and Lake Parks closures resulting from Grapevine Lake flooding in May and November 2015, all 2015 Annual Passes will be honored through March 2016 before the change over to the new year-to-date system.

What about Twin Coves on the Flower Mound side? Wonder if they plan on opening before summer gets here?

Heard from neighbor's grandson yesterday that they are catching at Twin Coves. They have a slip over there. I didn't even know you could get out on the marina.

Re: Grapevine?? - 02/15/16 11:15 PM

From the website it looks like they opened Murrell park yesterday. Twin Coves Park has probably been open all along since it sits on high ground on west side of the cove. I haven't been out there so I don't know for sure.

You should be able to find plenty of bank fishing spots.

It is down to 546 and change.

Re: Grapevine?? - 02/22/16 08:07 PM

Katie's Woods high water ramp is open but is useless since there is zero parking for truck/trailer anywhere over there.

The high water boat ramp at Murrel Park opened up last week.

Re: Grapevine?? - 02/24/16 12:52 AM

Guys,

Twin Coves Park and ramp (not to be confused with Murrell Park and Marina) is closed until next Fall. They are building 18 new cabins on the Twin Coves park property, along with a new fishing pier. The gates to the park will be locked until nest Fall.

I wonder what the last 24 hours of rain is going to do to the lake level. Probably take it in the wrong direction.
