Lake Lavon Shallow Water Blue Cats

Lake Lavon Shallow Water Blue Cats - 08/17/15 06:49 PM

Hi everyone,

Moved here from the Tyler area a few years ago and used to catch the blues in shallow water at night. I was thinking of trying that technique on Lavon.

Has anyone tried for shallow cats at night? I have a small jonboat. Any suggestions would be welcomed!!

Thanks!

it will work up there just as it does in any of the other lakes. How old is Jack now?

We can only hope on the redfish. I sure do miss catching them. I could fish for them 20 minutes from my front door at tradinghouse back when the plant was open.

Is Big Brown operating full time? I had heard noise about it being partially shutdown?

Should do good shallow on a night trip , shallow flats and points might be good . Good luck.

Hi Jackie, hope all is well! Jack turned 17 today and still a fishing fool. Thought you would like this pic. He caught it out of a local pond in Celina.
