I havent used one but I know ones who have and they like them, only complaint I heard was they were so stiff they felt like they werent getting as good of a cut but did say they are sharp and hold a edge good. I just bought a cheaper knife and put a nice edge on it.

I'm not familiar with that particular knife. I have a 9" stiffie. I also have the Bubba Blade of the same name. laugh

Worth the $50?...nah. Will take the side off a larger catfish and go right through the ribs in no time though. Cuts very close to the spine.

Thanks stubby. I'm slowly learning the right way to fillet them with the knife. I normally cut the head off them de gut them and grill them like that. Then after its grilled the meat falls off the bones then no meat goes to waste. After your done its just the fish Skeleton. Thanks again stubby

Nothing wrong at all with the way you were doing it! Most old timers scoff at the way we clean catfish these days and I'm guilty myself. When you catch a bunch time can become a factor.
Not wasting any of the fish you are to be commended! thumb
