Very nice man. Might want to weld a 6in piece on the bottom to step on when you set them in the ground.good job!

I saw a guy bank fishing a couple of weeks ago that was using rod holders and he had glow sticks secured to them towards the top, I thought that was a pretty good idea.

I must say, they look sexy to me.. smile how were you able to put them together strong? did you weld?

I put mine together using pvc.

Let me know if one of those Avets takes a dive when a monster grabs it lol...exact location. Those are nice though. I'm about to order some off of catfish connection.

Very nice. My only concern would be stability. Sometimes where I bank fish the ground is too rocky to pound the rod holder in very far, in that situation a shorter one is more ideal.

But they look great and I'm sure will work great.

Nice job, only recommendation I would have is to stay close to them and not space them too far apart, Big cats have been known to bend tall holders and snatch your rod before you can turn around....

Re: Finished My New Rodholders - 08/14/15 05:23 PM

Keep your drag loose u til you pick up the rod.

Re: Finished My New Rodholders - 08/14/15 05:56 PM

They look tall because i only had them 4inches in the ground so I could weld them up but when I go fishing half the Rodholder should be in the ground . And I hope they don't snatch my rod or I'm swimming with my 1911 and going to look for him haha

Re: Finished My New Rodholders - 08/15/15 07:49 PM

Gave it a yank test. Loaded up the drag and pulled pretty hard at 25yards 50yards and 70yards and rod did not budge . Gave me a little more cofidence that it can handle a pissed off blue pull
