Soured Corn Chum--Better With Age? - 05/31/15 10:22 PM
Made my first batch....corn/sugar/yeast/strawberry jello/marshmallows/garlic/water......used some for bait after only 3-4 days. Worked well, I caught 7 channel cats and 2 freshwater drum.
What's the ideal age to sour it? Does it keep getting better and better, or does it get to a point that it won't get any better than that? I guess I could make a trash can of it and use it for....a year? More?
I like this stuff, I've made several more batches, some of them are loaded down with ingredients like diced gizzard shad and oils. I read 2 things on here that I had to take....1 being using a hollow plastic bat to throw it, and the other is making it in clean laundry detergent jugs. I have access to all of the free laundry jugs I need, and I like the idea of using them to haul it to avoid a mess.
