was really slow this weekend on trotlines and jugs. Gar are everywhere and robbed a lot of bait. The Park rangers will tell you that Calliham is the only boat ramps open but we were able to launch my 19' roughneck at the 99 ramp.

From what I have been told the lake is really low, lower than it was in the early/mid '90s.

You can tell where the 2002 flood came through. Many Trees are broken off about 4-5 feet out of the water from the flood waters. That's how low it was before it filled up that time.

Dang that is slow. How wide is the river at 99?

I may have to drive down just to look, its been since my childhood since ive seen that lake that low. Most of the spots I learned fishing on have been under water since the lake filled up.

Thanks for the pics... dang that's low.

Wish I could get out there in it, but we just sold the old boat... not so eager to put the new one into that!

Big marv's bait always seams to work. I always have better luck finding one tree by itself rather than a butch. Then I just fish straight down under the boat.

Back in the day we always looked for cormorants and fished under them. Chicken liver and stinkbait under a cork should work.
