Was in Gander Mountain today. They have the Helix SI for $449. That's $50 off normal price. I bought one a month ago and love it so far.

I know Hummingbirds are good units but I have fished with a lowrance for thirty years. I just have had great service from my units and tend to stick with what works for me.

if you're wanting a fish finder for catfishing then humminbird si is the only way to go as it'll give you a full 180 degree coverage and you need that in the shallows.. lots of fish move up into 2 to 3 ft depth waters to feed and it's the ideal depth to catch lots of fish so humminbird is a necessity where lowrance is lacking in that dept when those only get like 160 degree coverage.

I have two humminbird 1100 series and a lowrance gen 3 the two hummingbirds are at humminbird for repairs and useless to me. my lowrance SI works way better anyways . My 2 cents I will never buy another humminbird product agin.

The digital oasis online. Best prices I've seen and I just bought an 899 thru them for $857. Cheapest I found

HB for shallow water whisker fish, IMO.

No issues at all with two HB 899's. And installation is simple. I wouldn't pay someone to do it. If needed, hummingbird.com has great and simple installation videos.

Both companies make great stuff. You can get a bad from either company but both are good. I have both on my boat.

Try the Factoryoutletstore.com

I bought a 899 si di combo there last year and the price was right. At least a good place to check prices.

Got mine (Helix 5) from Shut-up-and-fish just a few days ago. The SI and Di looked to have nice clear images but the 2d seems off a little. I sure wish I could've afforded one with a larger screen..
