I am going to head out and do some night catfishing I can't decide where i am going to put in. They opened up shady shore ramp and the point vista ramp are my two put in spots. depending on wind direction. I heard somewhere that big cats like to be near the mouths of these creeks eating the baitfish washed out.

Be very careful went down to the bank outside camp Copass after work . logs , debris by the tons! In main lake Id let it settle down ! My 2 cents

YES! Very dangerous, I say let it settle for at least 3-4 weeks!

Just to be safe!

3-4 weeks, or days? I understand it can be dangerous but no way would I not fish for a month for fear of floating trees and debris.

That is the reason I have done more night cat fishing than I have day time on this lake. I like to head out catch some bait and get to my first spot before dark.

Same here, but I don't think its just this lake anymore. I think its just about any lake in the metroplex now.

Probably so...I am a transplant here came here for work many years ago and never left. I am not used to this as for fishing down on the coast we don't have this much traffic on the waters. If we do its 98% for fishing not playing so they are more respectful to the others they are around.

Now will be a good time to go bank stomping below the dam. Channels will be starting to pack in there from the old railroad bridge columns down to the highway. 1 pint jar of shad gizzards used to fill my basket with 1-1/2 to 3 lb kittys.
