Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir - 04/21/15 02:24 PM
hey hey, wondering if yall have any advice for fishing this reservoir. I'm going up to Mart for the nephews sons bday, and I wanted to throw in a line and see if I could bring home a few channel cats for Sunday's supper. I was thinking I'd take some punch bait and tight line it from the bank, not sure I want to drag my canoe up there. Anyways, whatever yall throw my way would be appreciated. Thanks for your time, and good luck out there

I used to clean up using snails fishing the rocks at the dam
Yea that's what I thought. That lake is only good to catch one thing and that's a buzz
haven't caught a decent size fish in 3 years from that poopoo lake

If you have some soured milo you can clean up on the Southside rocks using chicken livers...nothing sizeable but my dad catches 10-15 eaters all the time. Also the white bass have made a comeback. Pulled 72 between three of us 2 weeks ago. Crappie isn't bad either.

Seems now you have to catch the cats on the spawn to produce any sizeable fish but they're in there guys. I've seen a number of good sized yellows come out of there in the past few years and caught a small one last week that was full of eggs so they're close to spawn

Waco Is a boaters lake now cat...at least it seems that way to me (no Boat) Blues are plentiful and the hybrids are good now. I don't have many fishing buddies so this is all just my input.

From what you told me yesterday , I was disapointed in my old home lake ! Limestone is where we run lines and i guess i'll just stay longer and fish there more ?
I fished Limestone for the first time last week and wasn't disappointed! My home lakes have disappointed me Waco and Tp&l
