PA rods - 11/16/13 04:16 AM

Hello. I want to know how sensitive/soft are the tips on the PA rods and what line wt are they rated for. Looking to purchase some 10fters and would like to have these questions answered. Also where can I pick them up locally in dallas?

I would go with meat meathunters instead of pa for my two cents I like the fill fill better the handles are alot ttufer. And you can fill the bite better But pa rods are good rods not disagreeing with that but I love my meat meathunters a bit more

I own a 7.5' and 3 of the 10'(spinning)and mostly bank fish.Plan on buying a couple more 10s very soon. The 7.5 is pretty sensitive with plenty of backbone. The 10'is a little stiffer. For the price they cannot be beat.Highly recommend.

10' PA all the way!!! You will not be disappointed!

Just look at what happen here you posted a ?'s about the rod and the man who's name is on them told you he would meet up with you and do a test run with the rods! Let's see Meathunter do that.

There is nothing wrong with the Meathunter but when talking about the sensitivity the PA wind hands down. IMHO. And the handle for me is a little big.

Not trying to cut you down mudcatcarter. Just putting my 2 cents in.

And if you do cast one I bet you will buy it on the spot.

Re: PA rods - 11/19/13 10:03 PM

If you need 3oz no roll sinkers in a pinch you can get them at Anglers Pro Tackle & Outdoors
6238 Rufe Snow Dr, North Richland Hills, TX 76148
(817) 503-2333
They don't have any 4oz no roll sinkers, but do carry 5oz no roll sinkers. You should be able to find them cheaper online through eBay if you're willing to wait.

IMO the 10' rods are going to be best paired with a 4oz or 5oz sinker. They have plenty of backbone to get it out there.
