What is the biggest catfish that you have ever landed? Spin the yarn and tell us what species, bait, and tackle used. Pictures would be nice. Go!

53" 84 lb flathead on a live crappie below webbers falls dam in oklahoma ~ arkansas river 13ft lamiglass rod / abu garcica 10000 spooled with 25lb cajun line. The only way to get it weighed was to string it up and hang it on the scales at the bait shop. The fish was then released......

65lb blue off of Limestone. Cut shad for bait. Caught it drifting 11' of water using coat hanger rig, Team Catfish 8/0 hook, 1oz walking weight. 65 lb braid, Catfish Safari rod, Abu 7000 reel, Monster Rod holder, and Suzuki 115hp boat motor.

50lb blue while I was jigging for crappi 10lb test line zebco 33. Lake ivey.

Oficially a 63# Blue Tawokoni, huge shad head 6500 C-4, Proangler Rod, 8'0 Gamakatsu Circle hook, caught one before that I think was a little bigger but scales only went to 50# that day

My PB is a 42 1/4 lb that is in my signature. I caught it this past Thursday at lake Lewisville. Caught it on a big shad head. The reel was a Abu 5500 built by Turbo Fred on a Pro Angler rod. Tom told me its time to go catch a big'un now. LOL So now I am chasing the 50 and 60 lb mark. With a little luck it could happen.

Yes you have to enter by boat from the river at Bakers Landing on 287. You can only get to within about 1.5-2 miles of the dam where the low water dam is and the Forbidden Zone starts. The entrance to old Richland creek is about 4 miles South from 287. You can get in best with the river at half bank and two gates on RC open. With 4 or more gates open it is best to avoid it and the water is so swift fishing is not near as good. When the water is right this can be an excellent spot for big stripers, blues, and gar.

I am a bass fisherman,but I have caught a 9 pound channel as a pb by accident.Not bad when your not trying.

The state record bass was caught crappie fishing. Thousands of bass boats and millions of dollars spent and the record is caught by a crappie fisherman. "not bad when your not trying". I still wonder if that record was actually caught on a crappie that was hooked.

A 27 pound blue when I was 15 years old. Caught him from the bank at Lake Tawakoni right off the fishing cleaning table at White Deer landing. I had a Zebco 33 and used Crappie guts for bait. The year was 1976 and it is still my largest fish to date.
