Cedar Creek Scouting Report - 07/08/18 11:04 PM
Only had a morning trip scheduled this past Friday so I talked my fishing buddy into getting my other boat ready for an afternoon of chasing blues while I cleaned my customer's catch. He did me one better and got the bait, too. That's a good friend! We hit the water around 2pm and got spoiled with cool temps and a light rain.
Ended up with a nice mess of box fish, two in the mid teens, a couple in the low twenties and the biggest was right around the thirty pound mark. We found our fish in 4-6ft of water, running cut bait about 18" off the bottom. It was fun to change it up and get back to my roots for a few hours. Kept all the 2-5 pound fish and tossed back the rest.
