Tawakoni Blues - 05/23/18 06:05 PM

Hey guys, I'm taking one of our boys in blue out on Tawakoni tomorrow. Would love to show him a good time. I've been slammed with youth sports and haven't been out much. Are the shad shallow? What water depth would you say to be in off wind blown points tomorrow to get into them?

P.S. What depth for Crappie right now in the coves with tree stumps?

Shad are easy at daylight on the bank spawning. Try the blues in 2-6ft on wind blown shorelines especially points.

Crappie are great on timber and brush in 8-12ft

I don’t know about Tawakoni, I haven’t been there in 14 or 15 years but Shad are spawning on the bank around riprap/landscape rock/bulkheads on Palestine right now at daybreak.

I will be fishing Tawakoni Thursday with Mr Littlejohn and a group of kids I am bringing...I can’t wait!
