Eagle mountain help for a newbie

Eagle mountain help for a newbie - 02/24/18 06:52 PM

I'm looking to get on eagle mountain and try to catch some catfish. Mainly just some good eating size catfish. Not necessarily looking for giants but if it so happens to jump on my hook, I’ll bring it in. I wouldn't mind dropping some noodles or jugs while I fish either. Is there a good place for me to look for cats? I mainly bass fish that lake so not too familiar with anything as far as the catfish. Maybe the dam? Or back in some of the sloughs? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've always had good luck by the dam, went out today but never ended up fishing.. couldn't find bait for notion.. threw for 4-5 hours and got about 15-16 shad.. going back tomorrow gonna try to catch some and fish but taking back up bait this time..

Sorry for the late reply, but I usually launch at the marina on the south west side of the lake. I guess it would be eagle mountain marina?
