Lake Houston 2/3/18

stayed close to home and fished Lake Houston today . It was drizzle and light rain on and off . The bite was slow but managed to tag and release a 17.5 and 11.5 pound blue.
I caught a couple small channels and I had a big ole good one come unpinned on me.

What is the purpose of tagging? Who do you call if you catch a tagged fish to get the info?
