Richland Chambers and BIG Eaters!

Richland Chambers and BIG Eaters! - 01/10/18 02:05 AM

Fished with two of my Winter Regulars today (Dad & Son Combo) from Dallas. Foggy start and foggy finish as it settled in over the Lake and stayed almost all Morning. Fish didn't seem to mind as we had really QUALITY Eaters with about half in the 3 lb. range and half in the 6 lb. to 8 lb. range. Strange as we had zero small fish and no really big Slot fish today. All fish continue to be caught in the timber out from Crab Creek in 25' FOW. Only thing as good as fishing with Regulars is they are Catch & Release Fishermen! cheer Not sure how many we caught but probably in the 25 to 35 range. Got January & February openings and offering a WINTER SPECIAL RATE thru February!

Hi Royce. Those are some nice ones.

Will the cats bite on a day like tommorow is supposed to be.
Bluebird sky's a light north wind. Most of the good trips I see you on lately are mostly cloudy days.

I would guess the bite would be decent. We've fished sunny, cloudy, foggy, breezy, calm and just about all conditions and caught plenty of fish recently. Even the high barometer bluebird sky days don't seem to totally stop the Catfish from eating. I prefer the light breeze and cloud cover but haven't had much of that lately. About the only conditions we cancel on are the really Windy and Cold Days. We've cancelled both our trips for tomorrow (Saturday) as the North Wind at 10 plus MPH will make for White Caps, a rough boat ride, and wet folks on RC. The Wind Chill in the 20's most of the day makes it just too cold for our Customers and Us. I'm "wimpy" when it comes to Winter Fishing and will be back on them on Monday.

Be careful if you fish and good luck.
