Eaters and Big Blues on Richland Chambers!!! (Updated 12/24) - 12/19/17 01:57 AM

Got fogged in the first hour or so this morning and stayed close to the Marina. When the visibility was good enough to make the run up the Lake and to the timber in the Crab Creek area we did, but not before Old Nick (Who is 85 years young) hooked and landed a nice Slot Fish. We guesstimated the weight somewhere between 40 to 50 lbs. and it was the best fish we've had so far this Fall. In addition to another nice Blue, we had a box full of Eaters that consisted more of Channels than Blues today. The bite was off a little as we had no wind and fog all morning long, but still managed a nice box of fish! All fish caught on DK's Blood Punch Bait. Thanks to regulars Lyndon, Janet and Nick for a fun morning! roflmao

Eaters and Big Blues on Richland Chambers!!! (Update 12/21) - 12/22/17 12:04 AM

Had to cancel Tuesday due to the much needed rain, but was back out Wednesday and today. Heavy fog again on Wednesday finally gave way to a really nice Thursday with a South Breeze and warmer temps. We made the trip up the Richland Arm to Crab Creek and fished the timber in depths from 20'-24' with DK's Blood Punch Bait. Both days were good early with some nice 1-3 lb. Blues with some Channels mixed in. Saw one boat over the two day period. hmmm

We're going to try and get our trips in on Saturday if the weather/wind permits and then off for a few days. We have one boat open on December 28-30, and then plenty of openings the week of January 1st. We're Offering a "Winter Special" from now thru February. Call or PM if interested and we'll load the ice chest!

Merry Christmas!

Re: Eaters and Big Blues on Richland Chambers!!! (Update 12/24) - 12/24/17 11:52 AM

Finished up the week with both boats out on a Chilly & Breezy Saturday Family Trip with Customers that fish with us every Christmas Season. chill We decided on a late morning start and glad we did as the 10-12 MPH NW Wind still had the temps in the low 40's at 10:30AM. We also decided to not make the long boat ride up the Creek to the timber and stayed nearer the Marina. After the first hour plus, it looked like we had made a bad decision with only a few fish in the ice chest. Figured the fish should be on the windblown shoreline and in a little shallower water so we tried a Point in about 6' FOW. "FISH ON" for the next two hours as we filled the ice chest with really nice Channel Cats! dance2 Adam's boat had the largest fish at around 7Lbs., but literally every fish caught was a Keeper with most in the 2-4lb. range. Had only two Blues which was a bit unusual. All fish on DK's Blood Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble. Had to do a lot of chumming to get & keep the fish in the area.

We have openings after the Holidays and are offering a reduced rate WINTER SPECIAL thru February! Give us a call for details.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
