Anyone ever tried this? I'm looking to paint an outdoor garage, and am too lazy to scrap the old paint by hand.

gonna need some good goggles and a mask, those work but if you are doing much it will throw a ton of debris.

if it is thick old paint try a flap wheel for a 4" grinder, much faster but you have to watch how much pressure you apply. still gonna throw dust but more manageable than a drill.

Much faster sounds much better to me. I don't have an angle grinder, but maybe Wallmart has an el cheapo. Thanks.

You'd be better off with a pressure washer, much faster. What doesn't come off, just paint over it.

I am impatiently waiting on my machine to arrive that will take the paint off of anything I point it at. One day, maybe before the end of summer, I will have it.
