RHBC Monthly Meeting! Thursday July 6th! - 07/01/17 09:03 PM
The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our monthly meeting this Thursday night, July 6th starting at 7:00PM. We meet at Bass Pro Shops in Garland on the restaurant patio downstairs. We're still taking memberships. Membership costs $30.00 per year and includes your entire immediate family. Our Secretary Russell Olds will be the man to see. We'll help you find him when you get there. There are four tournaments left in the year. Lots of fishing to be done!
Topics for discussion this month include the results from our June tournament on Cedar Creek. Lots of small limits were caught. If you were one of the teams that found some bigger fish, be ready to tell us what you did! We will discuss the tournament coming up next Saturday July 8th on Lake Lavon . We will be fishing from 5:30 - 2:30. Registration and weigh in will take place at the Lavonia South ramp. This is the free ramp closest to the dam. Full tournament info can be found here in the Bass Clubs section. We will also choose hours for our hot August tournament on Lake Fork. It's supposed to be 100 degrees on tournament day, and water temps are in the mid to high 80's. We will talk about both human and fish care. Let's make sure everyone either drives home or swims away in good health!
We will be collecting on pledges from my haircut/donation for the American Cancer Society. If you have pledged some money, come on out and see the shearing that will be taking place this Wednesday that you are paying for and thank you all that are participating! I should be getting a couple updates for community stuff this week. I will pass on whatever information I have. We'll have an update on what we have in the Club coffers and where we are for the Championship fund. We will have a points update as this is the last month for to collect points to qualify for the Top 6 tournament.
Not a huge agenda. We'll try and keep it a bit short since it will be hot on the patio. Come on out and join us! Bring your appetite. Wait staff will be there for your food and drink orders. Tip them well! Let me know if you need more info on anything!
