RHBC 2017 Schedule

The Ray Hubbard Bass Club has finalized our schedule for 2017. Take a look. Great lakes were picked by our members and they are scheduled for the least amount of conflict with large trails and the ever growing high school schedule. Hope you come out and join us next year! Our first meeting will be Thursday January 12th.

So did you get rid of the rule of not fishing the Championship lake during the regular season?

Yes, it was voted out at the last meeting

Cameron is correct. The rule has been changed, so we will be back on Cypress/Sandlin for the Championship for the first time in several years. Give the RHBC a shot this year guys. We averaged 36 boats per tournament last year. The competition is stiff, but that makes the rewards that much greater. We paid out over $6000.00 for our no entry fee Championship this year. Going to be a great 2017!

When is the next meeting to be held?

Our first meeting will be Thursday January 12th. We have a January meeting to start getting members signed up so we don't have a huge rush the meeting before the first tournament. Our Club is pretty large and it's a lot of work to get that many people signed up. Since we do not accept memberships at the launch ramp, you will need to join the Club at our meeting in January or February to fish Bob Sandlin. That January meeting also helps me go over the rules and regs with new members and let them get the feel of how our meetings work. Looks like I finally got my brother talked into fishing the club with me. I want to formally apologize to everyone who will have to put up with this trash talking crazy brother of mine through the year. Everyone who knows him will tell you he is harmless and if you want to have a good time and laugh your tail off just join him for a cold one after the tournament. We are definitely looking forward to having a blast fishing this year.
We might even catch a fish or two along the way.

The Ray Hubbard Bass Club was scheduled to fish Lake Palestine on Saturday April 8th. I found out yesterday that the Big Bass Bash is going on at Palestine on April 8-9. Last year this tournament drew almost 700 anglers. I checked other tournament schedules and after conferring with a few people have decided we are going to switch the lakes on our April and May tournaments. We will now fish Lake Tawakoni on April 8th and Lake Palestine on May 13th
