RHBC Monthly Meeting! Thursday May 12th! - 05/08/16 07:41 PM
The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our fifth meeting of 2016 on Thursday May 12th. The meeting will be held at Bass Pro Garland downstairs in the restaurant on the patio. The meeting will start at 7:00PM.
We will be taking memberships for 2016! Membership costs $30.00 per year and that includes your entire immediate family. Secretary Russell Olds will be taking your information down and Treasurer David Simmons will be taking your money. If you are new to the Club, we will get you to them. You will fill out an information sheet so we know how to get in touch with you. We will also have a Sign in Sheet there. Make sure everyone signs in. You get 10 AOY points for every meeting you attend. A reminder, if you want to join and qualify for AOY and the Club Championship, you have to fish 5 tournaments as well as doing a community event and there are six tournaments left in the year.
We will be recapping last months tournament on Lake Tawakoni. If you finished in the top 5 at Tawakoni, come prepared to talk about how you did it. We will talk about this months tournament coming up on the 14th at Lake Bonham. Tournament hours are 6:30-3:00. We are launching from the South Ramp. A lake permit is required to fish there. It costs 10 bucks and goes on the boat. Bonham is a small lake and we are a large Club so we will need to have some patience and all get along. We will talk about it. It's also getting warm out there so fish care will be a topic. All tournament information will be posted here in the Bass Clubs section. We will also be doing partner finder. If you do not have someone to fish with, do not fish solo. Let's make sure no one is left out.
We will vote on tournament hours for our June tournament on Lake Lavon. We had to skip Lavon last year because of low water. Nice to not have that problem! We are taking donations of rods and tackle for our upcoming Kids Fishing Derby that is on Saturday June 4th. As you know all of the rods and tackle that has been donated the last few years was stolen from the Raptor Center last year so we are starting from scratch. Donations will be counted as your community event for this year. We need 30-35 rods so go visit the Fishing section at Bass Pro and buy a rod and reel setup and some tackle before you come down to the meeting. We will go over the qualifications for being Angler of the Year, and fishing in the Club Championship tournament, which this year will be on Cedar Creek in November. We will talk about this years Top Six tournament now that the lake has been announced.
Lots to go over so come early and stay late. Bring your appetite as wait staff will be there for your food and drink orders. Beer and other libations are available from your bartenders inside. Hope to see you there!
