RHBC September Tournament! Saturday September 12th - Cypress Springs! - 09/07/15 10:43 PM

The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our eighth tournament of the year Saturday September 12th on Cypress Springs. Here is the information -

• When: Saturday September 12th
• Where: Cypress Springs - Overlook Park Ramp
• Time: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Registration: 5:00 AM - 5:45 AM
• Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat – 2 person maximum

You MUST be an RHBC member to fish this tournament. We do not accept membership at the launch ramp, so if you want to fish this one, you will have needed to join the Club at our meeting this Thursday night at BPS Garland. Here is a link to the meeting information.

Meeting Link

Registration will be at the ramp starting at 5:00 on Saturday morning. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. You will need to to turn your chip in by placing it on the board get your fish weighed. You can then launch or trailer and go to your spot. No lines in the water until 6:00.

There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD's time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back on the board with the Tournament Director by 3:30 and weigh in will start then. This is a summer tournament and with water temperatures near 90 degrees, make sure you bring some extra ice and Sure Life to take good care of our scaled friends! No long lines at the scales guys. Keep your fish in the live wells until the line is short. See you at the ramp!

Follow me and you won't check. Seriously, I'm not on any consistent pattern right now. Have had no time to put into it.
Heck, we were fishing next to SoCalTom last weekend. My structure bite is gone

If you were fishing next to me I know two things.

1. I'm blind

2. You're in trouble...

On the other hand, maybe not? Chris Atkinson and Tom Brouillette weighed a 5 fish limit for 18.73 that included big bass of 7.29 to win on Cypress yesterday. Full results and pictures will be posted later this week.

Did JB teach you how to talk in the third person?
Next you'll be referring to yourself as TB.
Great sack and great win. I still say you weren't in the side pot.

Thanks, this was a tough day. Don't know why the scales were flacky. Took too long. Heard about it from the line waiting. Sorry guys.
And way to go team Tom and Chris. You 2 have been making the move!

Stan Browning told me about some new scales Forney BC bought that Might be something to discuss in November. Super fast lock in , quick weighin process. You can only do so much with a Commodore 64 wink

The scale was replaced a few years ago with a very good Equalizer Tournament scale. We are looking in to sending them in to get checked but we have not had a problem in the past. The scale is no Commodore 64
