Bass N Badges 2015 Organizational Meeting - 01/09/15 09:53 PM

The Bass N Badges Bass Club will be holding their 2015 organizational meeting on February 4th @ 6:00 PM at the Black Kettle Cafe in Gilmer, TX. ANY Public Service Officer (Police, Fire, EMS, etc) is welcome to attend. Bass N Badges holds tournaments each month (February - September) on smaller lakes in East Texas such as Lake Gilmer, Lake Holbrook, Lake Hawkins, Ellison Reservoir (Lone Star), Lake Gladewater etc. Last year was our inaugural season and we finished with a "Classic" in October on Lake O' Pines.

Each month's format shall consist of two-man teams. We have no point system, so the same two do not have to fish each month and you can even invite a non-member, who supports our service, to join you in the boat. We have no set schedule, but choose the next event (date, lake, etc.) after each month's weigh-in.

Yearly registration is $25.00, with each event costing $25.00 (includes $5.00 big bass pot) per person. Of each month's entry fee, 100% is paid out to the top three heaviest stringers (top two if there is a limited number of boats). If you should have any questions please feel free to contact me.

We had four boats fish this morning and there's two or three fishing tomorrow. Very windy day, but the storms held off for us. The guys tomorrow should have a nice day, but might be a little chilly...

All four boats had over's (Welsh is an 18" minimum lake) in the box and most reported several under's caught as well. As of today, 10.5 lbs is in the lead....

I have the rest of our dates on paper now, so I'll shoot you an email when I get to work Monday. Next month the guys will be able to choose between March 14th or 15th, but haven't chosen the lake yet....
